Welcome back to mu*sic Monday! We're building a 2024 playlist. This list includes all genres, as I believe God winks are found in many styles of song. Words pour into the holes we need filled. Pondering these words leads us closer to the one source of our comfort, rest, or hope – God.
Today's Song: Invisible – Klaus Soundtrack by Zara Larrson
Genre – Pop
Kindness. It's a simple concept. An offering to the unexpecting, lifting the beaten spirit. It is air back into deflated hopes. But, it feels far away. Something slowly disappearing, becoming invisible.
How do people see what lies before them? Find what they can touch and feel. Acts of compassion, kind-heartedness - empathy. They seem invisible, but they move through the current of the living. Reside in the person standing next to us in a grocery line, pumping gas, next car over. Grabbing lunch. Serving lunch. The invisible lines of kindness tether us together, waiting for us to tug on them, bringing our attention to one another. With a kind word, a compliment, or a laugh. Expressions. Attention. Looking eye to eye, smile to smile, seeing the person. This draws the kindness we all have pulsing through us – out.
I live in a time that cries out for a kind word. A kind hand. A kind prayer. An invisible act that ripples through the river of being. Energy spent and absorbed, elevating spirits to a better place.
Kindness can melt icy walls surrounding lonely hearts, offering respite through uplifting words, acts of humility, or thinking outside of self. The broken are mended. The abandoned found. Offering a hand, lifts one knocked down, back to their feet.
Being kind lives in all of us. It is an invisible thread - one of our greatest gifts to share with one another.

Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Thank you for reading mu*sic Monday on Ponder This. Be safe, be kind, give grace, and pray. The world needs our prayers.
If you have a song for the 2024 PT mu*sic Monday playlist, let me know. I’ll give it a listen.
How many nights do you lie awake
In the darkest place? (Eh-oh-eh-oh, eh-oh)
How many days do you shed the pain
Of your darker days? (Eh-oh-eh-oh, eh-oh)
All I know is
If happy lives a mile away
A couple steps is all it takes
If kindness lives in everyone
Then all it takes is standing up
Can't touch it, see it (Oh-oh-oh)
But you can always feel it (Oh-oh-oh)
The greatest things you'll ever know
Are invisible (Are invisible)
How many words does it really take
To make a change? (Eh-oh-eh-oh, eh-oh)
Umm, how many fights is it gonna take
To convince what joy can bring? (Eh-oh-eh-oh, eh-oh)
All I know is
If happy lives a mile away
A couple steps is all it takes
If kindness lives in everyone
Then all it takes is standing up
Can't touch it, see it (Oh-oh-oh)
But you can always feel it (Oh-oh-oh)
The greatest things you'll ever know
Are invisible (Are invisible)
You can't take it, steal it (Oh-oh-oh)
But you can always feel it (Oh-oh-oh)
The greatest things you'll ever know
Are invisible (The greatest things you'll ever know)
They are invisible (Oh-oh-oh)
They are invisible (Oh-oh-oh)
They are invisible (Oh-oh-oh)
They are invisible
