Ponder This – what is it and what is coming

So, what to do now? Back to work? After ten years out of an office? Hmmm. My husband encourages - work, Kim, work.

But what do I want to do? Well, people say to do what you're qualified to do. I am a writer. I am a graduate of Texas Christian University with a journalism degree and almost 25+ years of public relations experience and leadership development.

So I'm going to write for work. If you are reading this, you made the list.

That list includes people I trust, admire, like, love, and in all likelihood, have read some of my words, and I'm asking you to join me on the ride. You are my test audience.

Upfront - know there will be no political talk. None! Instead there will be humor, hope, fun, life. Stories sprinkled with a touch of God. I am officially classifying my writing under the search tags Christian writer and Christian mom because if I am to be known for anything, I want to be known as a believer and a follower.

This idea started forming back in 2017 with a private Facebook page - On Bended Knee. My mom was very sick. I was hesitant to open up about it and ask for prayers. But we needed the prayers. That group, those friends – you - let me talk and ask for prayer, and it was amazing. It was spiritual.

Through On Bended Knee, I found words flowed, not specifically from me, but Him, and it was beautiful to be the conduit. I hope this project is similar for myself and anyone reading it. He talks to me daily. Ideas pop in my head, and I know they are not Kim Knights' ideas. They are conversation starters of things to ponder.   

These posts create words to generate dialogue or to entertain. It's that simple. I love to write. I'm trusting He leads me what to write. I'm trusting you like what I write.

Ponder This (PT) – Bi-monthly posts – guaranteed and dropped in your mailbox on the 15th and 1st of each month.

The paid subscription is a nominal fee is set up either monthly or annually (because I am launching my writing career). And for this nominal fee below are the offerings of the subscription:

PT Series – A series of ponders on various topics such as wisdom, Proverbs, biblical characters, to name a few concepts rolling around my head to date. I'm not sure how long the series will be or how often, but I'd prefer to underestimate and overperform.

PT Song – Music, especially Christian music, talks to me. It's beautiful how words are given to someone else to speak to the world, and it talks to you. I will share songs that speak to me and ponder why with you.

PT Haikus – I find haikus very helpful in bringing clarity to emotions and thoughts. It's beneficial to summarize in 3 lines with only syllables. Plus it demonstrates I can speak less.

PT Quotes – If it talks to me, I'll share it with you to ponder together.

PT Extra – An extra post in the month. Since I am a old, I actually took a typing class in high school. I can type very fast. These posts may be more free thought, just something to get out to into the universe.

PT Golden Nuggets – I am currently reading the Bible in 52 weeks, though I must confess I am probably on a 104-week journey. After reading the daily scripture, my study bible has what I call the little golden nuggets. These are insights to the passages read, and they help to understand or ponder the Biblical readings. I am not comparing Shakespeare to the Bible, but we all know we sometimes need someone to decipher Shakespearean words. These little golden nuggets bring it all home, and I find they often spur me to another level of thinking or seeing what the Bible is saying. They are wonderful, and I imagine this section will be plentiful.

PT – unknown – Meaning, the sky is the limit, and who knows what He will lead me to write. I pray this is a living process, changing daily, uplifting many, inspiring most, and helping us all grow in Him.
